Artist Registry
The White Columns Curated Artist Registry is an online platform for emerging and under-recognized artists to share images and information about their respective practices. The Registry seeks to create a context for artists who have yet to benefit from wider critical, curatorial or commercial support. To be eligible, artists cannot be affiliated with a commercial gallery in New York City.

STATEMENT OF WORK
The main themes of my work focus in around a dialogue between memory, absence and desire in our everyday experience. In my paintings there is a melding of different times overlapping and incongruous motifs interacting. Different associations play against each other to question the picture presented. Often exploring the experience of loss and longing, presented through a dreamlike narrative to suggest escapism or detachment as a condition of a certain experience. The images or motifs in the paintings move in and out of a hypnotic visual aesthetic to suggest a state of waking into a present moment, haunted by a past.
In my work a painted image is often influenced or conceived out of an imagination and memory soaked in the digital and film imagery that permeates our visual language. This is saturated with multiple meanings and messages, which is used to question how we relate to our environments and negotiate it.
