Artist Registry
The White Columns Curated Artist Registry is an online platform for emerging and under-recognized artists to share images and information about their respective practices. The Registry seeks to create a context for artists who have yet to benefit from wider critical, curatorial or commercial support. To be eligible, artists cannot be affiliated with a commercial gallery in New York City.

STATEMENT OF WORK
My studio practice gravitates around my relationship with chromaesthesia—experiments in dimension and color made under the guidance of music—to process bouts of loss and reflections on my life spent in the rural Midwest, New York City, and in the cybersphere as a first-generation Palestinian-American. Experimenting freely with mediums, I encourage unexpected results and mutations in compositional form to bloom in the studio, resulting in conceptually abstracted multidimensional paintings and prints, intricate layered cut paper, sculpture, and animations. I am currently very motivated by my latest series of geometric relief paintings that looks to traits found in nature and spatial tension found in architectural forms to tease out themes of generational trauma and symbolic self-transformation.
