Artist Registry
The White Columns Curated Artist Registry is an online platform for emerging and under-recognized artists to share images and information about their respective practices. The Registry seeks to create a context for artists who have yet to benefit from wider critical, curatorial or commercial support. To be eligible, artists cannot be affiliated with a commercial gallery in New York City.

STATEMENT OF WORK
When I was fifteen I wanted to be Buster Keaton. Then I wrote poetry and sang in a blues rock band. However, I felt that words were not enough to express myself at best. I was looking for something more immediate and the sign on paper was the choice that came closest to what I felt. In this series, I explore form as something alive and in motion. Semi-abstract shapes repeat, distort, and layer over each other. They seem to grow organically across the surface, like the marks of a personal visual alphabet. Color is impulsive, vibrant, sometimes instinctive. It follows the gesture and amplifies its energy. These works speak a non-verbal language made of rhythm and intuition. Nothing stays fixed: everything is shifting, tense, evolving. It’s painting that doesn’t try to represent, but to evoke.
