Artist Registry
The White Columns Curated Artist Registry is an online platform for emerging and under-recognized artists to share images and information about their respective practices. The Registry seeks to create a context for artists who have yet to benefit from wider critical, curatorial or commercial support. To be eligible, artists cannot be affiliated with a commercial gallery in New York City.

STATEMENT OF WORK
Drawing from my own anxiety, bipolar ruminations, and my job as a mental health counselor in mental hospitals and crisis residential facilities, my paintings explore a world of darkness and horror, intertwoven with devil-may-care exuberance.
I use materials that are lying around at hand- staples, cigarettes, paper, tape. There is an immediacy and an urgency to the work, as it just comes out of me.
I leave my paintings outside for long periods of time, collecting dirt, leaves and spiders. Paint cracks and canvas deteriorates in the elements. The work has a direct relationship with the environment it’s made in.
I’m interested in warping reality, appreciating the broken, and finding composition and art in the mistake. My work explores the imperfections of humanity and the reality of a flawed individual.
