Artist Registry

The White Columns Curated Artist Registry is an online platform for emerging and under-recognized artists to share images and information about their respective practices. The Registry seeks to create a context for artists who have yet to benefit from wider critical, curatorial or commercial support. To be eligible, artists cannot be affiliated with a commercial gallery in New York City.

RESUME

Kerri Sellens is a teacher and artist who has lived and worked in east London, UK, since completing her Fine Art degree in the mid-1990s. After pausing her personal practice to build a career in art education and raise her family, she has recently returned to making art.

Throughout her education career within elementary schools, Sellens has been a dedicated advocate for every child's right to high-quality arts education. She has delivered presentations for several UK arts and cultural organisations, and has written widely on arts education for organisations such as NSEAD, INSEA, and the Chartered College of Teaching. In 2024, she was awarded the NSEAD Prize for Innovation in Art Curriculum Design.

Now working part-time in education and with her children grown, Sellens is reconnecting with her own practice and realising the thoughts and ideas that have been developing over the past years.
