The White Columns Curated Artist Registry is an online platform for emerging and under-recognized artists to share images and information about their respective practices. The Registry seeks to create a context for artists who have yet to benefit from wider critical, curatorial or commercial support. To be eligible, artists cannot be affiliated with a commercial gallery in New York City.

RESUME

Yerang Moon is an interdisciplinary artist from Seoul, South Korea, currently living and working in Brooklyn, New York. Her work explores depictions of the human figure situated between abstraction and figuration. By intentionally avoiding direct or biased depictions of the body, Moon engages with the anonymity and complexity of human relationships. She works in painting, high relief, sculpture, and installation, which are often constructed from accumulated memories and layered textures. Moon has exhibited in both South Korea and the United States, including recent group exhibitions at The IW Gallery (NY, 2025); Studio In Factory (NY, 2025); A Space Gallery (NY, 2024); One Eyed Studios (NY, 2024); as well as solo and group shows at Mora Museum (NJ, 2024). She was selected for the Cellar Artist Run Residency in Brooklyn, NY (2024), and the L.a Studio Residency in Patton, PA (2025). She is a Fulbright Scholar and currently holds an MFA in Sculpture from Pratt Institute and a BFA in Sculpture from Seoul National University.
