The White Columns Curated Artist Registry is an online platform for emerging and under-recognized artists to share images and information about their respective practices. The Registry seeks to create a context for artists who have yet to benefit from wider critical, curatorial or commercial support. To be eligible, artists cannot be affiliated with a commercial gallery in New York City.

RESUME

Originally from Chicago, Sarah Heinemann attended Smith College, holds a BFA in painting from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago and an MFA from Hunter College. Solo exhibitions include SARDINE Gallery in Bushwick NY and The Knockdown Center in Maspeth, Queens. Selected two person and group exhibitions include Thinking About Abstraction at JJ Murphy Gallery, Between the Strange curated by Kristen Mills at The Center for Visual Research at Cedar Crest College, Honeysuckle Sips curated by Tracy U. McKenna at Gold/montclair*, Galeria Lume, SP-Arte, and Art Sampa OCA curated by Gisela Guieros in Sao Paulo Brazil, Tiger Strikes Asteroid LA curated by Lacey Fekishazy, and The RE:Institute in Millerton NY. She participated in the Spring 2023 Sustainable Care in the Arts Forum. Heinemann has worked for the studio of Sol LeWitt since 2000, realizing LeWitt wall drawings for museums, galleries, and private collections. She currently lives and works in Brooklyn.
