Artist Registry

The White Columns Curated Artist Registry is an online platform for emerging and under-recognized artists to share images and information about their respective practices. The Registry seeks to create a context for artists who have yet to benefit from wider critical, curatorial or commercial support. To be eligible, artists cannot be affiliated with a commercial gallery in New York City.

RESUME

Gabe Benzur was born in 1975 in Atlanta, Georgia. He started painting in 1991. He has lived in Brooklyn since 2007 and has maintained a painting studio in The Invisible Dog Art Center, a non-profit studio and arts facility, since 2009. His first solo show of sixteen paintings opened at the IDAC on September 7, 2024. Two concurrent solo shows open in June, 2025.
