The White Columns Curated Artist Registry is an online platform for emerging and under-recognized artists to share images and information about their respective practices. The Registry seeks to create a context for artists who have yet to benefit from wider critical, curatorial or commercial support. To be eligible, artists cannot be affiliated with a commercial gallery in New York City.

RESUME

Verna Estes (b. 1994, Somerville, MA) is a painter living and working in Brooklyn, NY. She earned her B.A. in biochemistry at Barnard College and worked in academic research labs for several years (Columbia University, New York University) as well as in art conservation labs (MoMA, Metropolitan Museum) before shifting focus to her painting practice in 2020.
