Artist Registry
The White Columns Curated Artist Registry is an online platform for emerging and under-recognized artists to share images and information about their respective practices. The Registry seeks to create a context for artists who have yet to benefit from wider critical, curatorial or commercial support. To be eligible, artists cannot be affiliated with a commercial gallery in New York City.

RESUME
Anya Lin Pertel (b. 1999) is from Los Angeles, California. She receiced her BA in Studio Arts and Humanities from Yale University in 2022.
Pertel's work engages the human-animal relationship, particularly between people and their dogs. Inspired by the Gertrude Stein quote, "I am I because my little dog knows me," she is interested in the ways dogs and other companion animals can hold a mirror to identity and selfhood. Her work navigates this mirroring, while simultaneously exploring its limits and failures.
Exhibitions include The Moon Belongs to Everybody (2024) at Smoke the Moon in Santa Fe, NM and her thesis exhibition, Endnotes (2022) in New Haven, CT.
Anya Lin Pertel currently lives and works in Brooklyn, NY.
