Artist Registry


The White Columns Curated Artist Registry is an online platform for emerging and under-recognized artists to share images and information about their respective practices. The Registry seeks to create a context for artists who have yet to benefit from wider critical, curatorial or commercial support. To be eligible, artists cannot be affiliated with a commercial gallery in New York City.

RESUME

Cecilia Caldiera is a New York City-based interdisciplinary artist. Caldiera graduated from Pratt Institute with a BFA in 2013 and an MFA from Columbia University School of the Arts in 2023. Before attending Columbia, she volunteered at the Robert Blackburn Printmaking Workshop from 2013-2021, lived in communal activist spaces, and volunteered with local mutual aid organizations. The commitment to community and alternative methods of education influences is visible in her art practice. Caldiera’s work has been in group shows at Anonymous Gallery, Fredric Snitzer Gallery, Entrance Gallery, Half Gallery, Wallach Gallery, Yeh Art Gallery, EFA 20/20 Gallery, and The Rhizome Center. She recently had solo exhibitions at Astor Weeks in 2023 and Subtitled.NYC in 2024. Caldiera was a Neiman Print Center Fellow from 2021-2023, an Interdisciplinary Art and Theory Program Fellow for the 2023-2024 session, and was awarded a grant to attend Anderson Ranch in 2022. Caldiera is currently a resident at the Hercules Art Studio Program and teaches at Pratt Institute and the Robert Blackburn Printmaking Workshop.
