Artist Registry
The White Columns Curated Artist Registry is an online platform for emerging and under-recognized artists to share images and information about their respective practices. The Registry seeks to create a context for artists who have yet to benefit from wider critical, curatorial or commercial support. To be eligible, artists cannot be affiliated with a commercial gallery in New York City.

RESUME
BIOGRAPHY: Shori Sims (they/them) was born in Baltimore, Maryland to two parents of African descent. A multidisciplinary artist, Sims creates dynamic and symbolically dense works that interrogate the relationships between media, the Internet, and the self. Mining the personal archives for evidence of history outside the Internet’s fetid remains, Sims examines through video, sculpture, installation, and written forms history’s unrelenting, seemingly accelerating cyclicality and the possibility of it coming to an end. They have exhibited work in group shows including at the New Art Dealer’s Alliance in New York City and with Lubov Gallery, Warbling Gallery in London, England, the RUN Gallery in Toronto, Canada, and in solo exhibitions with the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust and Greater Pittsburgh Arts Council.
