Artist Registry

The White Columns Curated Artist Registry is an online platform for emerging and under-recognized artists to share images and information about their respective practices. The Registry seeks to create a context for artists who have yet to benefit from wider critical, curatorial or commercial support. To be eligible, artists cannot be affiliated with a commercial gallery in New York City.

RESUME

Born 1981, Philippines.

Pia Coronel is an artist and curator whose practice navigates the intersection of abstraction, digital media, and materiality. Now based in midcoast Maine, she established roots in Bushwick, Brooklyn, where she exhibited at venues such as Rush Arts, NARS Foundation, BRIC Arts Media, and Microscope Gallery. During her time in New York, she also founded NYC Creative Salon, a community-driven platform fostering dialogue and collaboration among emerging and established artists across disciplines.

As a curator, Pia is passionate about creating spaces for experimental and interdisciplinary art, bringing together voices that challenge conventions and reimagine narratives. Whether through exhibitions, salons, or collaborations, her work invites audiences to engage in a contemplative dialogue about perception, memory, and the shifting boundaries of reality.
