Artist Registry

The White Columns Curated Artist Registry is an online platform for emerging and under-recognized artists to share images and information about their respective practices. The Registry seeks to create a context for artists who have yet to benefit from wider critical, curatorial or commercial support. To be eligible, artists cannot be affiliated with a commercial gallery in New York City.

To apply to the Registry, click here. Join our mailing list here to receive our open call announcement and other programming updates. For any further questions about the Registry, please contact us at registry@whitecolumns.org.

RESUME

Leonie Weber is an interdisciplinary artist whose practice spans sculpture, installation, video, performance, printmaking, and drawing. Her work centers on themes of labor — particularly reproductive, domestic, and emotional labor — while also exploring processes of creation, construction, and the ecological consequences of consumerism.

Born in Heidelberg, Germany, Weber earned her Fine Art degree from Bauhaus University Weimar, where she later served as coordinator of the MFA program Public Art and New Artistic Strategies, as well as an artistic associate and lecturer. In 2022, she completed her MFA at Hunter College in New York.

Her work has been featured in group exhibitions at Jenkins Johnson Gallery and Regina Rex in New York, as well as at Kunsthalle Erfurt, Kunstraum Kreuzberg/Bethanien, and Kunstverein Esslingen in Germany. Her most recent solo presentation was at Oberwelt, in Stuttgart, Germany. Weber lives in New York with her family.
