Artist Registry
The White Columns Curated Artist Registry is an online platform for emerging and under-recognized artists to share images and information about their respective practices. The Registry seeks to create a context for artists who have yet to benefit from wider critical, curatorial or commercial support. To be eligible, artists cannot be affiliated with a commercial gallery in New York City.

RESUME
Michael Velliquette is an internationally acclaimed artist whose work has been included in exhibitions such as the Shanghai International Paper Art Biennial, Global Paper at the Stadtmuseum in Deggendorf, Germany, and The Possibilities of Paper at the Torggler Fine Arts Center. His work is held in notable collections, including the Chazen Museum of Art, Racine Art Museum, The Progressive Corporation, The John Michael Kohler Art Center, and Microsoft. Velliquette has participated in residencies at the John Michael Kohler Art/Industry program, Vermont Studio Center, and EUARCA in Kassel, Germany. His work has been featured in Colossal, The New York Times, and he appeared as a judge on Discovery Channel’s Meet Your Makers Showdown. Additionally, Velliquette has been featured in exhibitions at the Cheonju Craft Biennale in South Korea, Paper Fascination at the Gustav Lübke Museum, and Open Hands: Crafting the Spiritual at the Museum of Contemporary Religious Art. He is an Assistant Professor of Art at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and teaches Paper Arts at Penland School of Craft, Haystack Mountain School of Craft, and the Pocosin School of Fine Craft.
