The White Columns Curated Artist Registry is an online platform for emerging and under-recognized artists to share images and information about their respective practices. The Registry seeks to create a context for artists who have yet to benefit from wider critical, curatorial or commercial support. To be eligible, artists cannot be affiliated with a commercial gallery in New York City.

RESUME
DIANE MARSH
After receiving a grant for young figurative artists from the Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation, Diane Marsh moved to NYC. She was invited by artist Harmony Hammond to participate in an exhibition featuring artists Ida Applebroog, Joyce Kosloff, Miriam Shapiro & others titled, "Homework: The Domestic Environment Reflected in Work by Contemporary Women Artists". After receiving an artist residence grant in New Mexico from the RAIR Foundation (1980) She returned to NYC(1981). The Frumkin/Struve Gallery represented her early works which were exhibited alongside Phillip Pearlstein, Robert Arneson, and others. In 1985 Marsh was awarded a National Endowment for the Arts grant, from jurors Pat Steir, Audrey Flack, and Joan Brown.
Marsh moved to New Mexico, and had solo exhibitions in Denver, Santa Fe, and Los Angeles throughout the 1990’s. She moved briefly to Lincoln, Nebraska and received a Nebraska State Arts Council Grant (2001). In 2002 she received a second “year-long” RAIR Foundation Grant. In 2003 she was awarded a Kittridge Foundation Grant. In 2017 Lucy R. Lippard wrote the forward for the catalogue, “Diane Marsh: Paintings 1986-2017.”
Recent solo exhibitions include “Alcoves 2020” at The Museum of Fine Arts, Santa Fe (2019), “Diane Marsh: A Merging of Worlds” at Western NM University in Silver City (2021), and “Death is a Hard Teacher” at the alternative art space “Clea Rsky” in Brooklyn, NY(2022.) In 2023 she was curated into White Columns Artist Registry (New York) for under-recognized artists and in 2024 she recieved a grant from the Rauschenberg Foundation Emergency Grants Program. She currently lives and works in her Main Street studio building in the small town of Estancia, New Mexico.
