Artist Registry
The White Columns Curated Artist Registry is an online platform for emerging and under-recognized artists to share images and information about their respective practices. The Registry seeks to create a context for artists who have yet to benefit from wider critical, curatorial or commercial support. To be eligible, artists cannot be affiliated with a commercial gallery in New York City.

RESUME
M.E. Sparks (she/her) is an artist and educator working in Treaty No. 1 Territory, Winnipeg, MB, Canada. She holds an MFA from Emily Carr University (Vancouver) and BFA from NSCAD University (Halifax). Her work has recently been exhibited at the Alternator Centre for Contemporary Art (Kelowna), Gordon Smith Gallery of Canadian Art (North Vancouver), Trapp Projects (Vancouver), Number 3 Gallery (Vancouver), Ou Gallery (Duncan) and Fifty Fifty Arts Collective (Victoria). She has participated in group shows at Access Gallery (Vancouver), Support (London), Franc Gallery (Vancouver), South Main Gallery, (Vancouver), SiteFactory (Vancouver) and Dynamo Arts Association (Vancouver). Sparks was a finalist in the 2016 and 2017 RBC Painting Competitions and a recipient of numerous awards and project grants, including the Nancy Petry Award and research funding from Canada Council for the Arts , Winnipeg Arts Council, BC Arts Council, and Arts Nova Scotia. She has participated in artist residencies in Canada, Germany and Finland.
