Artist Registry
The White Columns Curated Artist Registry is an online platform for emerging and under-recognized artists to share images and information about their respective practices. The Registry seeks to create a context for artists who have yet to benefit from wider critical, curatorial or commercial support. To be eligible, artists cannot be affiliated with a commercial gallery in New York City.
To apply to the Registry, click here. Join our mailing list here to receive our open call announcement and other programming updates. For any further questions about the Registry, please contact us at registry@whitecolumns.org.
RESUME
Emanuela Sintamarian is an artist originally from Romania, but she currently lives and works in Oakland, CA. Her work hinges on topic of memory, identity, fragmentation and allienation.
Part of her immigrant reinvention as an artist was a dramatic change on her approach to art-making. While in Romania she was working mostly on small scale drawings, in the United States she started working in a range of media, from painting, drawing, mixed media, and mural. She is currently interested on expanding the structure of painting from a 2-dimensional format onto a 3-dimensional one.
