Artist Registry

The White Columns Curated Artist Registry is an online platform for emerging and under-recognized artists to share images and information about their respective practices. The Registry seeks to create a context for artists who have yet to benefit from wider critical, curatorial or commercial support. To be eligible, artists cannot be affiliated with a commercial gallery in New York City.

Artist Bio
Maegan Harbridge is an artist/researcher based in Toronto, Canada. She is a third year PhD student at York University where she also teaches studio art. Her research delves into the political nature of aesthetic experience, investigating the social and political implications of a material-based practice in an effort to further the debate regarding the social role of contemporary abstract painting. She was a selected participant of the 2015 Summer Institute of Art held at the European Graduate School in Switzerland where she worked with artists and theorists such as Franco ‘Bifo’ Berardi, Hito Steyerl, Barry Schwabsky, and others.
