Artist Registry
The White Columns Curated Artist Registry is an online platform for emerging and under-recognized artists to share images and information about their respective practices. The Registry seeks to create a context for artists who have yet to benefit from wider critical, curatorial or commercial support. To be eligible, artists cannot be affiliated with a commercial gallery in New York City.

RESUME
As a young girl in Detroit, Michigan, I grew up hanging out in my grand uncle's upholstery workshop where I learned the old world craft of upholstery.
While going to Wayne State University for a BFA in sculpture, welding & weaving, I helped to create the Detroit based performance/art group, "The Motor City Free Arts" in the mid 1970's.
I moved to NYC in the early 80's to further my education at Parsons School of Design and continued with performances while earning a living as an iron worker and an upholsterer.
From 1990 - 97, with my partner, Julius Klein, we opened and ran "XOXO", a performance space/gallery in the East Village.
During 2000 - 2005, from my storefront on East First Street, I participated in the Artist/Gallery studio tour "E.L.S. on the L.E.S." (Every Last Sunday on the Lower East Side).
I've exhibited in numerous group shows in New York City, Detroit & Chicago.
In April 2019, at Gallery 222 on the Bowery, I shared in a two person show with my partner, Julius Klein, covering 38 years of making art.
