The White Columns Curated Artist Registry is an online platform for emerging and under-recognized artists to share images and information about their respective practices. The Registry seeks to create a context for artists who have yet to benefit from wider critical, curatorial or commercial support. To be eligible, artists cannot be affiliated with a commercial gallery in New York City.

RESUME

Winnie Sidharta

Winnie Sidharta is a painter who currently lives and works in Queens, New York. After pursuing an art and painting degree in Indonesia and in Beijing, Winnie spent several years living in China.  She received her MFA from The Ohio State University and later taught in the Painting and Drawing Department. Winnie has shown in several venues, including artist run galleries and academic institutions across the country.  She  has further developed an approach to collage making and painting as a way to examine and contribute to the current dialogues regarding the overlaps and divisions between complex cultural experiences, migrations, and identity.
