The White Columns Curated Artist Registry is an online platform for emerging and under-recognized artists to share images and information about their respective practices. The Registry seeks to create a context for artists who have yet to benefit from wider critical, curatorial or commercial support. To be eligible, artists cannot be affiliated with a commercial gallery in New York City.

RESUME

Bio 

Ingrid Syage Tremblay is a French-Canadian/Syrian artist from Montreal. She completed an MFA in Sculpture & Extended Media at The University of Texas at Austin in 2018 where she received the Graduate School Recruitment Fellowship and the Quebec Research Fund Fellowship among numerous awards. Prior to her MFA, she earned a BFA from Concordia University, a B.Sc. and a M.Sc. from University of Montreal. Tremblay was the recipient of the 2018-2019 VCU Fountainhead Fellowship in Sculpture. She additionally recently completed residencies at Est-Nord-Est (Québec), NARS Foundation (NY), Djerassi (California) and the Carving Studio and Sculpture Center (Vermont). She will be artist-in-residence at Sculpture Space (NY) in 2022. Her work is recognized and supported by the Canada Council for the Arts and the Quebec Council for the Arts. It was shown in institutions in Canada, USA and Europe. Her exhibitions has been covered in outlets including Espace Art Actuel, Revue Esse and Vie des Arts. Public lectures include School or Art Institute of Chicago, The Carving Studio and Sculpture Center and Virginia Commonwealth University.
