The White Columns Curated Artist Registry is an online platform for emerging and under-recognized artists to share images and information about their respective practices. The Registry seeks to create a context for artists who have yet to benefit from wider critical, curatorial or commercial support. To be eligible, artists cannot be affiliated with a commercial gallery in New York City.

Wenjun Chen is an interdisciplinary artist working on new media, focusing on the internet and technology, with a further specific focus on data/personal data. Born in China, he is currently based in New York City.
His works were selected for the Loop Art Critique Residency and the White Columns Curated Artist Registry, USA. He was also a finalist for the Dummy Award Kassel 2016, Germany, the 8th Three Shadows Photography Award 2016, China, the Taipei Photo Emerging Photographers' Award 2016, Taiwan, and the XITEK EOS New Talent Award 2015, China. His works have been exhibited in China, the USA, Taiwan, Japan, Korea, the UK, France, and Germany, among others. His works are collected by the Alexander Tutsek-Stiftung Foundation, Germany; the Chengdu Contemporary Image Museum, China; the China Port Museum, China; and individual collectors in China and Germany.
His current work is a self-exploration in the field of the internet and technology. Based on his personal data, using keywords from his memories and the numbers from his health data, he is reconstructing virtual avatars, a story of his growth, and the bodies that hold these stories and memories. It also reflects his identity as a newcomer from China, migrating to a blended analog and digital new world.
