The White Columns Curated Artist Registry is an online platform for emerging and under-recognized artists to share images and information about their respective practices. The Registry seeks to create a context for artists who have yet to benefit from wider critical, curatorial or commercial support. To be eligible, artists cannot be affiliated with a commercial gallery in New York City.

RESUME
Naomi Ben-Shahar is an internationally recognized multi-disciplinary artist and curator living and working in New York. Her work consists of photographs, weaves, paintings, and video. She is interested in the lineage of women's artwork and the intersection of photography and craft. Ben-Shahar has benefited from international and local support by organizations such as the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council, NYFA, the American Academy in Rome (Italy) Edith Russ Site for Media Arts (Germany) and the Cite Internationale Universitaire de Paris (France). Her work was shown at galleries such as Baxter St. Camera Club of New York, Feature, Inc. and Gorney Bravin & Lee in New York, FA Projects in London, Torch gallery in Amsterdam, Art Process in Paris, and BY Art Projects in Tel Aviv, and in museums such as the New Museum in New York. Ms. Ben-Shahar curated contemporary art exhibitions for the NY City Opera at Lincoln Center, taught photography at Fordham University and the International Center of Photography in NY, and was a photo and image editor for magazines such as the New Yorker and Cabinet, as well as for book publishers such as Abbeville Press, where she headed the photo department.
