Artist Registry

The White Columns Curated Artist Registry is an online platform for emerging and under-recognized artists to share images and information about their respective practices. The Registry seeks to create a context for artists who have yet to benefit from wider critical, curatorial or commercial support. To be eligible, artists cannot be affiliated with a commercial gallery in New York City.

ARTIST BIOGRAPHY

Constance Brady (b. Wilmington, DE) earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York and later graduated from Columbia University with a Master in Science of Social Work degree.  As the Postgraduate Behavioral Health Fellow in the Department of Psychiatry at Yale School of Medicine, for two years Constance trained as a member of a multi-disciplinary ambulatory treatment team in a community-based acute services unit.

Her painting practice has been lauded as "constant and profound" by Artist and Curator Ernesto Pujol.  Ms. Brady's works have been exhibited and published internationally.  Recognized as one of the world's top graffiti writers by Publisher's Weekly, paintings from Constance's "City Series" were featured in Nicholas Ganz's Graffiti World (New York. Abrams, 2004. ISBN: 0810949792) and Graffiti Women (New York. Abrams, 2006. ISBN: 0810957477).  An inspirited and drastic departure from the pictures of her "City Series", Ms. Brady's "The Trepanation Series" was exhibited at her first solo show in 2008 with Magnan Projects in Chelsea, NYC in and at Miami's Pulse Art Fair.

The artist is seeking new representation. For more information, please visit www.constancebrady.com or contact the artist's studio directly at joanofarc13@hotmail.com.
