The White Columns Curated Artist Registry is an online platform for emerging and under-recognized artists to share images and information about their respective practices. The Registry seeks to create a context for artists who have yet to benefit from wider critical, curatorial or commercial support. To be eligible, artists cannot be affiliated with a commercial gallery in New York City.

RESUME
Kyle Orlando lives and works in Jersey City, New Jersey. He is a self-taught artist who works primarily in painting and drawing. His most recent works are a revision on cars and car collisions. In the past, Orlando’s visual language has fluctuated between images of screaming cheetahs; car wrecks; and cowboys. Sometimes using combines of found objects, canvas, and discarded wooden pallets. Currently his paintings and drawings mash-up, and intertwine multiple vehicles in forms of painting/drawing and painting collage. Orlando’s works feed on personal feelings of anxiety and depression attributed to notions of exclusivity. His works can be seen as some sort of personal catharsis, but his hope is that viewers will garner their own interpretations.
