RESUME

Bio
I was born in New York City and was fed on the energy of that great city which is my Home. The energy is chaotic, fractured and intense. It entered into me even when I slept. I was raised on those streets. I grew up in Greenwich Village in the 50s and 60s. My playground was Washington Square Park. Many of my friends were the sons and daughters of artists. I started drawing in early childhood. My father and I played a game where he would scribble some random lines on paper and asked me to make a drawing from them. This kind of automatic drawing has continued to be a source of my paintings to this day. 

I lived and worked in New York until 2018 when I moved to Philadelphia for financial reasons. That allowed me to be able to paint full time.
