Artist Registry
The White Columns Curated Artist Registry is an online platform for emerging and under-recognized artists to share images and information about their respective practices. The Registry seeks to create a context for artists who have yet to benefit from wider critical, curatorial or commercial support. To be eligible, artists cannot be affiliated with a commercial gallery in New York City.

STATEMENT OF WORK
Jasper Arasteh is an artist living and working in Los Angeles, CA.
As a whole, my practice aims to create objects which generate questions and paths of inquiry, discovering moments that evade definitive temporality and narrative. These isolated instances float around as condensations, or amalgams of ideas: the idea of a landscape, natural phenomena, monument, or artifact. My desire is that these motes of irregularity and odd beauty are suggestible enough to elicit contemplation, but evade being pinned down, similar to the sensation of a word on the tip of your tongue.
