The White Columns Curated Artist Registry is an online catalog of digital images documenting the work of artists who are not affiliated with a commercial gallery in New York City. Each submission is reviewed by our curatorial staff; in order to be considered for the registry, one must submit work digitally via this website.
Born in Prague, Czechoslovakia in 1958, I now live and work in Chicago. My 1990 BFA from Southern Methodist University in Dallas includes the Yale Norfolk Summer Program. A full-time artist since receiving an MFA in 1994 from University of Chicago, I have exhibited extensively at regional museums, art centers, and university galleries throughout the United States. Exhibitions abroad include: U.S. Embassies in Moscow, Ankara, and Abuja; alternative galleries in London, Rome, Berlin, and Jena Germany; and the 2010 Berliner Liste art fair. Working with art consulting firms, galleries, and individual clients to create site-specific commissions since 2005, recent public commissions include: Eastman Chemical Company, Kingsport, TN; University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign, Lincoln Hall; and Hotel Rosewood, Abu Dhabi, UAE. Awards include Illinois Arts Council's Artist Fellowship Award, Governor’s International Arts Exchange Grant, and City of Chicago CAAP Grants.
