Artist Registry

The White Columns Curated Artist Registry is an online platform for emerging and under-recognized artists to share images and information about their respective practices. The Registry seeks to create a context for artists who have yet to benefit from wider critical, curatorial or commercial support. To be eligible, artists cannot be affiliated with a commercial gallery in New York City.

Blade of Air

2018
A composition of sine waves to form an ambient narrative in architectural space, to explore into sounds’ horizontal, vertical variation in its delivery material (transducer attached to hanging steel) and its environment (bullnose of a cell building with curved walls), transforming bodily movement into spatial resonance. Sounds were generated by electronic current and transformed from electronic magnetic field in the steel cylinder and the curved space, performed by Soledad Munoz. Another composition contributor was Kevin Hsu.

Waterfall

2015
Video projection on running water of red still images of a frozen waterfall, upside down. It was installed in a safe light darkroom. People were welcomed to work here, while the digital lighting might interfere with some chemical process.
