The White Columns Curated Artist Registry
is an online platform for emerging and under-recognized artists to share images and information about their respective practices. The Registry seeks to create a context for artists who have yet to benefit from wider critical, curatorial or commercial support. To be eligible, artists cannot be affiliated with a commercial gallery in New York City.

STATEMENT OF WORK
The current portfolio presents 15 images of Evans Pond, located in Haddonfield, NJ. They explore the "aboutness" of this former millpond, the loss of social memory and its environmental decline as well as its beauty. Using different cameras, including low-tech plastic cameras, my iPhone, and digital imagery, I process the negatives and files with varying degrees of intervention. The images speak to the consiousness of the picture-taker and my presence at the site, yet remain a fragmentary and elusive representation of place.
