Artist Registry


The White Columns Curated Artist Registry is an online platform for emerging and under-recognized artists to share images and information about their respective practices. The Registry seeks to create a context for artists who have yet to benefit from wider critical, curatorial or commercial support. To be eligible, artists cannot be affiliated with a commercial gallery in New York City.

RESUME

Daniel Ramos is an American artist who divides his time between New York, and Monterrey, MX. Ramos received a BFA in Photography from Columbia College Chicago in 2003.

 

His solo exhibitions include Artpace in San Antonio, TX and Filter Photo in Chicago, IL and his work is in the permanent collections of Leo Burnett Worldwide and the Wittliff Collections at Texas State University in San Marcos, TX.

 

Ramos is a current NYSCA/NYFA Artist Fellow for Photography. He was a 2021-2022 studio fellow at NXTHVN in New Haven, CT; Artist-In-Residence at Light Work, Syracuse, NY, in June 2021; and held the 2020-2021 Pollock-Krasner Residency at ISCP in Brooklyn, NY.

 

Ramos has been a visiting artist lecturer at Yale University, the Fashion Institute of Technology, and the Duke Ellington School of the Arts among others.

 

He was the recipient of the Dorothea Lange-Paul Taylor prize in 2018.
