Artist Registry
The White Columns Curated Artist Registry is an online platform for emerging and under-recognized artists to share images and information about their respective practices. The Registry seeks to create a context for artists who have yet to benefit from wider critical, curatorial or commercial support. To be eligible, artists cannot be affiliated with a commercial gallery in New York City.

RESUME
Jessica Wee (b. 1988, New Jersey) is a Korean artist who grew up in Paris and Montreal. After receiving a BFA in painting and drawing from Concordia University with a minor in traditional animation (2011), she spent four years studying classical realism painting techniques in Italy (2017). Between 2019 and 2021 she acted as the head assistant painter for contemporary artist Angel Otero in New York. In 2021 she received an Explore and Create Grant for a 2-year project from the Canada Arts Council. Her work is presented in the Rad Hourani Collection and has been exhibited in Montreal, Toronto, and London. She currently lives and works in Montreal.
