The simple geometry of my work is quickly recognized and directly realized, yet it also possesses a intriguing quality of uncertain origins.

My images appear to be abstract designs, but they also make references to shapes, objects and phenomena found in the real world...

I use a scaled, tonal palette, my favorite carbon-based black emulsion on white paper; to achieve a bold, graphic impact.in the works.

The paintings are neither realistic or drawing based, but have a similar outcome. They are strong graphic images. The process is ghosting,& inpainting; with a obstructive based; indirect process of application.Originating in small particle vortex & interference /it is amazingly effective in producing that referential image.

Visually their origins are in drawing, printmaking & photography processes.

The paint; paper;& process are all archival .....

Modularity and repetition are components of my working process, and allow me to expand, contract and adapt my ideas to site specific needs..

A recent design/The WallCrawler/ I painted has an almost unlimited ability to ,expand and work with wall space in any direction, even around corners. Its ability to change is hardly explored.

This year Im doing some smaller image series. All works are C.Frank Gavere,All Rights Reserved Reproduction for articles, contact Artist.
