I Search for the Line, the Curve, the Fleeting Moment, the Ephemeral ...
My goal is to capture the incomprehensible & the obscure instances of grace & form on film - not only to demonstrate beauty, but also to provide a glimpse into the hidden world of my imagination.
LONE (Ongoing Series):
There are strong elements of spirituality in all my work, but this series is an unequivocal exploration into the two opposing sides of oneness. The extraordinary feeling of being at one with the elements simultaneously contrasted with the feeling of being just one and alone in the world. There are figures – both explicit and implicit – in almost every image that conveys the personal search we all go through – contemplative, reflective, reaching towards the sky. I also visually investigate the elegant expression of a hand as an instrument and form of expression of oneself – sometimes emphasizing an inherent personality trait, and other times revealing our desire and need to find ourselves. With an intention of authenticity, the images were unposed and instead, captured serendipitously as I encountered moments of loneliness, pain, separation and fragility in the urban landscape.
