Artist Registry

The White Columns Curated Artist Registry is an online platform for emerging and under-recognized artists to share images and information about their respective practices. The Registry seeks to create a context for artists who have yet to benefit from wider critical, curatorial or commercial support. To be eligible, artists cannot be affiliated with a commercial gallery in New York City.

In the work of Jenine Marsh, themes of agency, mortality and value are explored through the medium of physical contact. In immersive installations and intimate sculptural arrangements, works incorporate the paraphernalia of exchange and contact, such as hands, coins, clothing, cut flowers and purses. Sculptural processes of body-casting, rubbing and pressing amplify the tactile and textural. Together, these objects, materials and processes speculatively reimagine physical contact as a vestigial agent of social transformation.
