The White Columns Curated Artist Registry is an online catalog of digital images documenting the work of artists who are not affiliated with a commercial gallery in New York City. Each submission is reviewed by our curatorial staff; in order to be considered for the registry, one must submit work digitally via this website.
This body fo work uses non-conclusive, cross sectional patterning to produce chains of related instances that explore non-linear narrative and question optical certainties. These interwoven occurrences produce a non-referential space; if not physical then psychic, something that exists through memory or desire. Fragments of familiar objects and found images appear and then collapse, their transitory presence indicating broader themes related to bodies, personal witness, opacity, and construction. The scale of the work in relation to the body enhances perceptual discord, and psychological slippage is palpable.
