The White Columns Curated Artist Registry is an online catalog of digital images documenting the work of artists who are not affiliated with a commercial gallery in New York City. Each submission is reviewed by our curatorial staff; in order to be considered for the registry, one must submit work digitally via this website.
My studio practice drifts through various processes and interrogations concerning the paradoxical power of objects, sensory experience, and the intersection between public and private spaces. Themes of my artistic research spawn from exploring architectural movements throughout history, the history of analog technologies, and writings on the psychological experience of space. These interests have manifested themselves into installations, site-specific works, digital imagery and sculptural objects. Tools and processes I use involve photogrammetric 3D scanning, digital fabrication, mold making, casting, and traditional raw material fabrication processes. A continued undertone in my work is questioning how recalling a moment, space or experience, diluting it and filtering it through a sieve (mental, physical or digital) can create new poetry in what individuals find important.
