The White Columns Curated Artist Registry is an online catalog of digital images documenting the work of artists who are not affiliated with a commercial gallery in New York City. Each submission is reviewed by our curatorial staff; in order to be considered for the registry, one must submit work digitally via this website.
My studio practice drifts through a variety of processes with the interrogation of recollection as a constant. My interests have spawned from architectural movements throughout history, the history of technology and engineering and writings on the psychological experience of space. In thinking about how our sense of self is connected to our environment I use personal connections to places, the history of objects and familiar mechanical processes as a starting point in my work. I am interested in how recalling a moment, space or experience, diluting it and filtering it through a mental sieve, can create new poetry in what we find important.
