The White Columns Curated Artist Registry is an online catalog of digital images documenting the work of artists who are not affiliated with a commercial gallery in New York City. Each submission is reviewed by our curatorial staff; in order to be considered for the registry, one must submit work digitally via this website.
My work is usually based in photography in some manner, and I use my photos to make transfer prints, lithographs and etchings. The images are often rather banal and ordinary, but the organization, the combination of images, inclusion of text or additional art media serves to give a more pointed and polemical interpretation. My work on paper includes altered books, unique artists books drawing and collages. I've made work about racism, the legacy of slavery, income inequality, the Holocaust, immigration issues and Muslim identity.
