The White Columns Curated Artist Registry is an online catalog of digital images documenting the work of artists who are not affiliated with a commercial gallery in New York City. Each submission is reviewed by our curatorial staff; in order to be considered for the registry, one must submit work digitally via this website.
Dale Wittig was born in Manchester, Connecticut in 1957. He has been painting, drawing, and writing steadily for the last forty years. He has worked with Bread and Puppet Theater and has helped organize, and contributed to, Cheap Art shows for the last twenty five years. He was briefly represented by Wessel & O'Connor where he had his first one-man show, A Bunch of Rebellious Slaves, in October 1999. His work has been included in various group shows in New York, San Francisco, Burlington, Hamburg, and Bologna. His many artist books are for sale at Printed Matter, Inc. Dale Wittig and Max Schumann have been showing collaborative projects at the bar Max Fish since 1989. Mr Wittig lives and works in San Francisco, California.
