The White Columns Curated Artist Registry is an online catalog of digital images documenting the work of artists who are not affiliated with a commercial gallery in New York City. Each submission is reviewed by our curatorial staff; in order to be considered for the registry, one must submit work digitally via this website.
Jen Schwarting is an artist and writer born in Bronx, NY, living and working in Brooklyn, NY. She received her MFA from CalArts and her BFA from Cornell University. She has shown her work at galleries and museums in New York including the Bronx Museum of the Arts, Islip Art Museum, Smack Mellon, Present Company, TSA, Regina Rex, as well as galleries in Los Angeles and abroad. Her work has been reviewed in the New York Times, L Magazine, Hyperallergic and an interview about her "drunk girls" series was featured in art:21. She teaches studio art at Pace University in lower Manhattan.
