The White Columns Curated Artist Registry is an online catalog of digital images documenting the work of artists who are not affiliated with a commercial gallery in New York City. Each submission is reviewed by our curatorial staff; in order to be considered for the registry, one must submit work digitally via this website.
An Hu was born An Li (pronounced like Hathaway) in Chongqing, China late July in 1994. Shortly after, he imigrated to the United States with his mother and lived in Philadelphia until he moved to New York City in 2012. An has received numerous awards since, including scholarships from The New School in New York City as well as the Lower Merion Township in Pennsylvania. He studied Modern Art at the Fashion Institute of Technology and received his BFA from Parsons The New School for Design. Additionally, An represented his school in LG's Art of the Pixel contest in 2014 where he placed as a finalist and invited to a gala/reception. He has since been invited to participate regularly in group shows organized by PhotoFEAST and is currently a teaching assistant at the International Center of Photography In New York.
