The White Columns Curated Artist Registry is an online catalog of digital images documenting the work of artists who are not affiliated with a commercial gallery in New York City. Each submission is reviewed by our curatorial staff; in order to be considered for the registry, one must submit work digitally via this website.
Gustavo Murillo Fernández-Valdés is a multimedia artist based in New York. A recipient of “La Caixa” Scholarship, and selected winner of the Magenta Foundation Flash Forward award in 2012 and 2013, Murillo Fernández-Valdés has exhibited his work at SVA Chelsea Gallery, New York (2015), WW Gallery, London (2011), London Art Fair (2011) and Departure Gallery, London (2010).
Murillo Fernández-Valdés received his BA in Humanities with an art history major from Pompeu Fabra University, Barcelona and an MFA from the School of Visual Arts, New York. He is currently a participant of the 2017-2018 Whitney Independent Study Program, Studio Program.
