The White Columns Curated Artist Registry is an online catalog of digital images documenting the work of artists who are not affiliated with a commercial gallery in New York City. Each submission is reviewed by our curatorial staff; in order to be considered for the registry, one must submit work digitally via this website.
Brian Edgerton is an artist working in Brooklyn, NY. His drawings and animations inhabit the substantial outskirts of painting, using digital media and abstraction to complicate the way images inhabit physical and social space. He was born in 1984 Piscataway, NJ, received a BFA from Pratt Institute in 2006 and an MFA from Rutgers Mason Gross School of the Arts in 2016. His work has been recently been shown on the Highline, New York (2015) as well as in group exhibitions by The Invisible Dog, New York (2016); NurtureArt, New York (2015); Rutgers University, Piscataway, New Jersey (2015); Bruce High Quality Foundation University, New York (2014); and Brooklyn Fireproof East, New York (2013).
