The White Columns Curated Artist Registry is an online catalog of digital images documenting the work of artists who are not affiliated with a commercial gallery in New York City. Each submission is reviewed by our curatorial staff; in order to be considered for the registry, one must submit work digitally via this website.
As one of six with an Irish mother with deep Irish ancestry and a Jewish father with largely unknown ancestry, I have always been interested in loss and retention of identity and story in changing contexts.
I have exhibited at Hyde Park Art Center, Betty Rymer Gallery, Evanston Art Center, the Museum of Shenandoah Valley, Koehnline Museum of Art Gallery and the Swedish American Museum, among other venues. I have been awarded multiple grants from the City of Chicago/Illinois Arts Council and curated into the 2016 Evanston & Vicinity Biennial, New American Paintings Midwest Edition in 2012, and as featured artist for Chicago Artists Month in 2008. Residencies include Hyde Park Art Center, Ragdale Foundation, the Center for Books and Paper Arts, the Chicago Open Studios Program, and the Cliff Dwellers Club. Public collections include the Joan Flasch Artists' Book Collection and the Center for Books and Paper Arts. I received her BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and her BS in Materials Science & Engineering from Northwestern University.
