Artist Registry


The White Columns Curated Artist Registry is an online platform for emerging and under-recognized artists to share images and information about their respective practices. The Registry seeks to create a context for artists who have yet to benefit from wider critical, curatorial or commercial support. To be eligible, artists cannot be affiliated with a commercial gallery in New York City.

ONOMONO

0000 ONOMONO depicts a circle of destruction, and the impact of Capitalism on our psyche. The video captures the ailments of our society through a montage of archival footage, which includes: depression-era economic graphics, catatonic patients, as well as original footage of the Atlantic-ocean, Cappadocia, and a dilapidated post in Abu-Ghosh. Objects and people exhibit and perform a charged state of mind.

WARD OF THE FERAL HORSES

Set in a 19th century horse stable, Ward unfolds a copywriter's schizophrenic upheaval. Distraught and failing to communicate, his mind cracks, as he begins to hear voices. The ultimate break unleashes an emancipatory carnivalesque dance troupe, or Jinn, who emerge from his room’s furnishings.
