For the past few years my work has been focused on home and place as a topic. Initially inspired by my experiences as an apartment manager, I was interested in how we define space and claim it as our own. This active delineation of public and private brought into question ideas regarding property and its inherent entitlements-- whether it is something as simple as a view or as complex as the rights to natural resources. Home is defined by place and property, natural and constructed constraints, public and private boundaries that divide us and tie us together... a virtual good neighbor fence.
