Artist Registry
The White Columns Curated Artist Registry is an online platform for emerging and under-recognized artists to share images and information about their respective practices. The Registry seeks to create a context for artists who have yet to benefit from wider critical, curatorial or commercial support. To be eligible, artists cannot be affiliated with a commercial gallery in New York City.

STATEMENT OF WORK
The work I have presented is a combination of cultural influences, high and low. I have been traveling to Oaxaca Mexico the past eight winters, maintaining an art residency there. This has fueled my recent works. My interest and fascination with the natural world, butterflies, dragonflies, the textiles of Oaxaca, the world of celebrity are inspiration. I have made choices recently that combine these influences. Abstraction is the basis of my art, but by adding recognizable images, I connect it to our culture at large, at this moment in time. We all have a voice in the way things are going. My work is about the chance we are given to make a difference. And the positive ways we can achieve this.
