Esperanza Mayobre has participated in numerous exhibitions including the Boston Museum of Fine Arts, the Bronx Museum, Smack Mellon, MIT CAVS, Museo de Arte MARTE El Salvador, Postmasters Gallery, Jack Shainman Gallery, Museum of the Americas Washington DC, the Jersey City Museum, the Rich Gallery London, BRIC, the Incheon Biennial Korea, Centro Cultural Chacao Caracas. Was part of the Skowhegan Talk Lectures Series at Artist Space and Proyecto TAGA Coleccion Mercantil in Caracas, Venezuela. Special projects include the Creative Time Sandcastle, the Creative Time Reports "Postcards from Venezuela", the Domino series "Mano Segura no se tranca" at Present Company. She has been awarded the Smithsonian Artist Research Fellowship, the Lower East Side Printshop Keyholder Residency, the Smack Mellon Studio Program, the LMCC WorkSpace Residency, the NYU Visiting Artist Program, the Honorable Mention XI Salon CANTV, the Skowhegan 2005 Fellowship, the Artist in the Marketplace Fellowship at the Bronx Museum, the Rebecca R. Joslin and the Clarissa Bartlett Traveling Scholars Award. Her work has been reviewed at Bomb, the Brooklyn Rail, Hyperallergic, the New York Times, Artnet, El Nacional, Arte al Dia and Artforum.
