Artist Registry


The White Columns Curated Artist Registry is an online platform for emerging and under-recognized artists to share images and information about their respective practices. The Registry seeks to create a context for artists who have yet to benefit from wider critical, curatorial or commercial support. To be eligible, artists cannot be affiliated with a commercial gallery in New York City.

RESUME

Jill Kerwick was born in 1956 in Paterson, NJ, she received her M.A. from NYU in 1995 and her B.F.A. in 1978 from Moore College of Art, Phila. PA. She also studied at the School of Visual Arts with Milton Glaser. 

Jill recently had a solo exhibition at the Visual Arts Center in Summit, NJ, "Lipstick & Other Stories" and a solo exhibition, "Almost Definitely" at the Center for Contemporary Arts in Bedminster, NJ. In 2018 Jill gave the Visiting Artist talk at the CVA Gallery at Brookdale Community College, Lincroft, NJ. She is a curator at the Art Alliance, Red Bank, NJ. and she was asked to be a juror in 2019 for the Center for Contemporary Art Members' Exhibition, Bedminster, NJ and in 2017 she was a juror for the Marion Locks Senior Award, Moore College of Art and Design, Phila, PA. Jill is a founding member of FOCA, Friends of Contemporary Art, Vero Beach, FL.

Recent group shows include, “Masters of Photography”, Espacio 70, Bogota, Colombia; Gallery 14, Morristown, NJ; Umbrella Arts, NYC; NY Center for Photographic Arts, NYC; Monmouth Museum 38th Annual Juried Exhibition, Lincroft, NJ; Brookdale Community College, Lincroft, NJ; 2015 PhotoSpiva, Joplin, MO (1st place $1000. Award); Chico Art Center, Chico, CA; Adam Baumgold Gallery, NYC and Blank Gallery, Brighton, England.

Her works are in the public collections of Pfizer Pharmaceuticals, Johnson & Johnson, the American Water Works Service Co. and the High School of Economics and Finance, NYC.
